’Oxfordshire Landscapes’ Photo Competition

Posted by Science Oxford on October 1, 2009 | comments

For three years now, Science Oxford Live has run a photography competition.

This year it’s ‘Oxfordshire Landscapes’, which coincides with the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition at Science Oxford Live this winter. From scenic views, to inspirational buildings, to pictures that represent what Oxfordshire means to people – Science Oxford Live wants local residents to send them photographs that highlight the variety of landscapes, both rural and urban, found across the county.

The winning photos were shortlisted and judged by a panel of experts, including CEO of Science Oxford, Dr Ian Griffin, and local photographer John Cairns. There was a cash prize £150 for the best photo, and two second prizes of £75 each – one for under 16s, and one for people aged 16 and over. Additionally, the shortlisted entries will be put on public display at Science Oxford Live during the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition.

Please find below the winning entries from this years competition. The winners from previous years competitions (“Oxfordshire Floodscapes” in 2007, and ‘Oxfordshire Wildlife Exposed’ in 2008) can be seen here also:
