		<description>I agree and endorse almost everything said here, except that science education should manage a transition from learning what other people discovered (etc.) As a school science adviser, I think science education should always be about doing science- i.e. gatheing evidence to try to explain something (with uncertainty built in)- then there would be no need for a transition as such!</description>
